Cancer Trials Support Unit
The Cancer Trials Support Unit (CTSU) is a service of the National Cancer Institute (NCI), supported by the Coalition, designed to facilitate access to NCI-funded cancer trials for qualified clinical sites and to support the management and conduct of those research studies. The CTSU’s services and resources include:
- Members Website
- Protocol Services
- Regulatory Support Services
- Patient Enrollment
- Clinical Data Management
- Communication & Help
The Coalition oversees the CTSU’s Regulatory Support Services, collecting the trial-specific regulatory requirements needed for enrollment for all NCI-supported multi-center clinical studies. It also operates the CTSU’s Regulatory Help Desk, which allows sites to get in touch during business hours for regulatory questions and to request an expedited resolution of regulatory issues when a patient is actively waiting to enroll in a trial.
